Planning application for the redevelopment of a significant riverside site with modern architecture and dynamic public space.
What we did:
DWW Design were appointed by E&J Properties to work with the Borough of Broxbourne on the transformation of this extensive brownfield site into an attractive residential location.
The ambitious scheme comprises 104 no. residential units and urban landscaping to provide a dramatically improved frontage to the River Lee towpath, new open public spaces and regeneration of the wider area.
Key to the success of the project was coordination and consultation. DWW Design coordinated a comprehensive consultant team to deal with challenging site constraints relating to transport, flood risk, ecology and nearby historic assets. The site required liaison with numerous statutory consultees prior to planning submission, including the Lee Valley Regional Park Authority, Historic England, Natural England and the Canal and Rivers Trust.
