"Awards for Harlow Gateway Project and Harlow Leisurezone"
The Harlow Gateway Project was recently runner up in the 2011 RICS Eastern Region Regeneration Awards, and was Highly Commended. The Project is a groundbreaking scheme to regenerate the Town's leisure facilities, achieved by unlocking land for much needed housing and sports development. It is in partnership between Harlow District Council, Homes and Communities Agency, Harlow and District Sports Trust and the Department for Communities and Local Government.
Derrick Wade Waters has been involved with the scheme since it's initial conception in a variety of roles including project co-ordination and client representative, and also dealt with the disposal of a 30 acre residential site in the Town Centre.
Harlow Leisurezone, one of the outputs from the scheme, and for which Derrick Wade Waters was client representative, has recently won best commercial building 2011 in the LABC East Anglia Awards, and now goes on to the national finals.

Derrick Wade Waters 5th Annual Go Karting event
We recently held our 5th Annual Surveyors Go-Karting event at Rye House Speedway Track in Hoddesdon.
11 teams particpated, including a number of national and local firms.
Kemsley LLP impressed by relegating the victors of the event of the last three years, Lambert Smith Hampton, to second place, whilst we took the final place on the podium.
In his closing speech, Chairman Gerry Wade praised the strong turnout and quoted an "increasingly optimistic outlook for the year ahead".
